This is a death row meal for me. I'm talking final day on earth, never coming back, what do you want to eat. Texan. Chocolate milkshake. Onion rings. PELICAN EGGS. Every time I visit family in the Houston area I make them go to Tookie's. I've been coming here for decades (not hyperbole) and it's never once disappointed. Food: incredible. Service: Perfect. Never had a bad server. This most recent visit, she set a standard for good service. And of course the vibe of the place is unmatched. Informal. Friendly. Vibrant. Just writing this has made me impatient for next Christmas so I can eat here again.
I have been going to Tookies for many years and it never disappoints! Recently, I took family from out of town before visiting Kemah. We were seated right away, and service was good even though we had a larger party (7). Everyone loved their food. I'll be back again!

Tookie's Burgers in kemah is an institution. since i've been gluten free i was worried about going back. to my great surprise they have udi's gluten free buns or they can do lettuce wraps on any burger! . my server was very knowledgeable and informed me none of the fries tots or rings are safe because of shared fryer. food is fast, service is good, and the ambiance is uniquely tookies. try the 99, or a squealer (add an egg!) no pics because i inhaled the burger
Stopped in here while traveling for work. I have always heard great things about Tookie's Hamburgers when I lived in the Houston area but never made it there. I'm so glad I had the chance to stop by. I ate at the bar and the bartender was so kind and recommended great food and drink choices. My burger was delicious!! The power actually went out at one point, thankfully not for very long, the staff took it in stride and carried on with business as usual. Highly recommend if you're craving a yummy burger!
Delicious food and great service! Chelsi was our waitress gave us great service. I had the Nathan hotdogs with chili and they were absolutely delicious. Although I did not have any, the pelican eggs were delicious, according to my husband and my stepson. one of them had a southern burger and he enjoyed the spiciness of the burger... But beware of the spiciness because he was sweating after eating the hamburger
We came here on a Tuesday right when they opened & there were already cars parked outside waiting for the restaurant to open. We walked in and was immediately greeted and seated. Our server was super nice and our food came extremely fast! Husband and I both got burgers and shared a fried mushroom appetizer. this place is delicious! burgers were huge and juicy. the fried mushrooms - perfection!! would definitely come back here again!!!!
I finally stopped by Tookie's to see what all the hype was about. Damn I'm glad I did. I sat at the bar and was greeted by a very nice bartender who promptly took for order for a cold beer to start my afternoon. Nothing like a cold fresh draft! I was here for the burger so I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings . It took a little while to arrive but it was so worth the wait. One of the best burgers I've ever had and that's saying a lot. The bun was perfect, Patti was very flavorful and juicy without being greasy! The veggies were fresh and crisp. The fries were very good as well. I'll be back.
